Angelina Jolie is 'Maleficent'

As far as actresses go, this woman has done it all. Spy, car theif, detective; and now evil Queen.
Although this tale of Sleeping Beauty may be a little different. Word on the street is this tale will look at the popular story a little different than normal. "I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn’t mean she can’t have other [warmer] qualities".
To create the gaunt, evil look, Arjen Tuiten was drafted in. From working on films such as Twilight, Thor and Pan's Labyrinth, Tuiten know's what he's doing when it comes to the odd prosthetic piece. Sculpting and using posthetic cheek bones to give Jolie the most delectable facial structure seen on film in a long time.
So ladies, don the leather horns, yellow contacts and become Maleficent just like Angelina Jolie, because personally, I think she looks amazing!

Topman S/S 2013 Collection

Don't get me wrong, I like to see a good looking guy in pink. But this is just taking it too far. The recent Topman S/S show looked more like Topshop than man. I could handle both pairs of shorts but not the blazers as well. Personally I like my men to look, well, like men. Not ripping off my blazer that I don on nights out.
To be honest if I was on a date and he turned up looking like this, I'd run a mile and probably towards the nearest tequila bottle.
In the words of Eurovision; Topman...nil points.

I want this hair

"Blake Lively, From a Whisper to a Scream"...Taking the world by storm

Dress: Lanvin at Net-a-Porter
It's no secret that I am a mahooosive Gossip Girl fan. I cried the first time Chuck and Blair split up. Then again when Serena and Dan split. And again when Chuck and Blair split, again. But one of the main things I LOVE about Gossip Girl is this girl. She's the quientisential American girl-next-door. Blond, sexy, a wardrobe to die for and more famous boyfriends than you could shake a stick at.
A recent article by Bullett Magazine discussed how the girl we (or at least I) dream about becoming gets exactly what she wants. A 2 million dollar house with Ryan Reynolds in Bedford, New York? Yeah go on then why not. A profile written by Baz Luhrmann for "Time 100: The Most Influential People in the World"? Okay no problem. And when she attended the Haute Couture Week in Paris with American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour,  Christian Louboutin invited her to view his designs. "Lively gasped when he showed her a high-heeled, rainbow-colored sandal with seven straps. “Do you love it?” he asked. “I want to sleep with it under my pillow every night!” she replied."

Interview with McKenzie Westmore

McKenzie Westmore is the host of "Face Off", the X Factor for make-up artists. I'm still waiting for SyFy to realise that there are make-up artists in the UK that are interested in prosthetics and special effects, and for them to start showing "Face Off" over here. The day that happens I will be a VERY happy lady. I love this woman; she has a facial structure to die for. Happy viewing! xxxxx

As a long standing fan of The Body Shop and their animal friendly products, I am very excited about the new Lily Cole collaboration. She's been a worldwide model, actress and now is The Body Shop's first global ambasador with a make-up range. Really, is there anything this redheadded beauty can't do?

As soon as payday comes round I shall be snapping up a couple of these beauties, especially seeing as they're on 3 for 2 and if you've got a Body Shop card you get an extra 20% off. I love a bargain! Even more when they're animal cruelty free, designed by a supermodel and PINK!

Blazer - H&M
Vest - Primark
Jeans - River Island
Shoes - Kurt Geiger (TKMaxx find for a quater of the price)

End of year show

Last night was my end of year show, the show itself was a shambles with some woman talking for 2 hours about a lot of crap no one cared about.

On a more positive side, I was fairly happy with my final piece.

I wish I'd of blended the pieces more but you couldn't see from off stage so worked out well seeing as I self taught about everything prosthetic wise. Roll on uni!

The first one...

Hiiiiyaaaaaa!

I'm Jessica and this is my new blog.

I'm 22 years old, a fully qualified beauty therapist to level 3 and now (yey!) a fully qualified make-up artist! I work part time in a tanning shop so am a lovely shade of orange and am going to university in September to specialise in Special Effects Make-Up.

As I've now finished college and bum about 5 days a week, I plan on writing at least 3. I've got too much bleach in my hair, wear hooker red lippy and talk half yorkshire half geordie.

The majority of this will probably be ramblings about make-up, special effects, beauty and fashion but I hope you'll enjoy at least half of it!

Ta babes xxxxx

P.s. Thats me down there...
